Abu Dhabi Corniche
A 12-minute fireworks show will run at Abu Dhabi Corniche on December 1st and 2nd at 9pm.The Corniche will also come alive with a mammoth activity plan of entertainment and games to engage all families and nationalities and the Emirates Heritage Club will mount additional attractions at its Corniche Breakwater Heritage Village, which will be open from 9am until 10pm on December 2nd. In addition to its usual attractions, there will be a traditional market and handicraft demonstrations of leatherware, glassware and knife production. The club will also have a traditional rowing boat available to take up to 10 people at a time on a trip along the Corniche. The trips will be free and run every half hour from 4.3pm until 7pm.

The parade route will start at du Forum, Yas Island, and cover more than 3.5 kilometres.  A three-minute fireworks show will bring to a close the Yas Island National Day parade celebrations at 8pm. A free-to-attend concert with an Arab singing star will be held in du Forum, after the fireworks display. Details of the star performer will be announced shortly.

Khor Al Maqta
Three-minute shows will run on December 1st and 2nd at Khor Al Maqta – in front of the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel with firing at 8.30pm. The show will spread out across the water to be visible to people dining out at the hotels and the souk, which flank the channel.

Al Ain

Dubai Metro-Ramadan 2013 Timing - Reduced Frequency

RTA has announced that during Ramadan 2013 the frequency of Dubai Metro would be reduced compared to the normal schedules. This is because during the month of Ramadan, people tend to stay more at home with family especially during evenings. Also the believers stick to prayers and mosques during this Holy month which reduces the metro usage. The exact timing for the Month of Ramadan is yet to be announced.
